Kimberley Riehle, M.D., is a general and thoracic pediatric surgeon at Seattle Children's Hospital.
Dr. Riehle aims to put herself in the parents' positions as she meets and interacts with patients and their families, and to treat her patients as she would want her own son to be treated. She understands that taking care of a child during an operation or severe illness is incredibly difficult and strives to make each family's experience as positive as she can.
Dr. Riehle earned her M.D. at Emory University. She completed her general surgical training at the UW, followed by pediatric surgical training in Boston Children's Hospital. She performs a wide range of neonatal and pediatric surgical procedures, in addition to prenatal consultations. Her research interests include the liver's response to various types of injury and pediatric liver cancers.
