Katie Schimizzi, P.T.A., B.S., L.M.T., C.S.C.S., is a physical therapist assistant at the Sports Medicine Center at Husky Stadium.

Schimizzi believes collaborative care is an integral part of the rehabilitation process. She also thinks it is important to develop professional relationships and strong lines of communication with other providers including physical therapists, doctors, medical staff, athletic trainers and coaches. She enjoys empowering patients by providing them with the tools and education they need in order to return to the lifestyle and recreational activities they love.

Schimizzi earned her B.S. from Western Washington University and her P.T.A. from Whatcom Community College. She is certified in IASTM through Functional Movement Techniques Rockblades as well as Kinesiotape I & II. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Licensed Massage Practitioner.
