About Kathryn A.V. Schlenker
Kathryn Schlenker, D.O., is a board certified physician with the Palliative Care Service at UW Medical Center and a UW assistant professor of General Internal Medicine and instructor of Palliative Care.
Dr. Schlenker feels it is a privilege to work with patients and families facing serious illness. She gains insight and finds meaning with every patient that she cares for. She enjoys working as a team with patients, families and other healthcare providers. As a palliative care doctor, She is able to provide support and expertise in complex medical decision-making at all stages of illness.
Dr. Schlenker earned her D.O. degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care. Her clinical and research interests include shared decision-making, grief and loss, physician wellness and bioethics.

In her free time Dr. Schlenker enjoys running, cooking and spending time with her family.
