BiographyKathryn “Katey” Harris, M.S.N., A.R.N.P., A.G.A.C.N.P., is a board-certified nurse practitioner and teaching associate in Surgery at UW Medical Center.
As a nurse practitioner, Harris’ goal is to provide holistic and individualized patient care. Connecting and building relationships with patients is one of the most satisfying aspects of healthcare for Harris. She feels that empowering patients to play an active role in their health and make positive lifestyle changes is the most rewarding part of what she does.
Harris earned her M.S.N. from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Washington State Nurses Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Harris’ clinical interests include surgery, developing clinical pathways, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education and nursing education.
Personal InterestsIn her free time Harris enjoys running, hiking, sailing and beach volleyball.
