Katie Stiff is a nurse practitioner in the Gastroenterology Clinic and Inflammatory Bowel Disease clinic at Harborview.
In addition to general gastroenterology, she has clinical interest in inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.
She supports quality improvement research in the clinical and endoscopy settings.
Katie Stiff earned her bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University, a master’s in nutrition from Bastyr University and a master’s in nursing from the University of Washington.
She became interested in the nurse practitioner role after working as a dietitian in a hospital in multiple specialties. She became a nurse and worked in neonatal intensive care for 5 years, before becoming an A.R.N.P. She previously worked in a chronic pain clinic as a nurse practitioner. She finds gastroenterology to be a good fit for her prior experiences in nutrition and pain.
