Katherine Buchanan, C.R.N.A., is a board-certified nurse anesthetist at UW Medical Center.

Buchanan feels that caring for patients at the UW is a team approach. Her goal is to use her training in anesthesia and her background in critical care nursing to provide safe and comforting care to surgical patients.

Buchanan received her medical education at Rush Medical College, Chicago. Her clinical interests include neuroanesthesia and contributing to the education of student nurse anesthetists from the US Army.
