Karol Bomsztyk, M.D., is a board certified physician at UW Medical Center and a UW professor of Medicine and Allergy and Infectious Diseases and an adjunct professor of Pharmacology.

Dr. Bomsztyk makes a special effort to work with patients and their families as a team. He considers it very important that patients and their families understand how the diagnosis was made and treatment options.

Dr. Bomsztyk earned his M.D. from University of Rochester in New York. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. His clinical and research interests include fluid and electrolyte disorders, epigenetics-based translational research to develop diagnostic tools and potential treatment of kidney disease and other conditions.

In his free time Dr. Bomsztyk enjoys running, bicycling, hiking and music.
