Joseph K. Hwang, M.D. is the medical director of the UW Medicine Valley Medical Center Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic and a clinical associate professor of obstetrics & gynecology at University of Washington.

Dr. Hwang provides comprehensive consultation service for high risk pregnancy with an emphasis on prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, medical complications of pregnancy, and preterm birth prevention. His research interest is in preterm birth prevention.

Dr. Hwang earned his B.S. in chemistry at Loyola University of Chicago, and his M.D. degree Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He is board certified in both maternal fetal medicine and obstetrics & gynecology. He also serves as a board examiner at American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Dr. Hwang likes to provide contemporary and evidence-based medical care to his patients in a compassionate and patient-centered manner.
