BiographyJonathan Swanson, M.D., is a board certified radiologist and director of Diagnostic Imaging at Seattle Children's Hospital. He is also a UW associate professor of Radiology and Pediatric Radiology and deputy director of the UW’s Pediatric Radiology Residency.
As a radiologist, Dr. Swanson works to keep open lines of communication with physicians and patients so that he can best answer the question driving the need for imaging.
Dr. Swanson earned his M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. He conducts research on developing strategies to train midwives in third-world countries to efficiently and accurately use limited obstetric ultrasound to improve pregnancy outcomes.
Personal InterestsIn his free time Dr. Swanson enjoys tennis, running and basketball.
