About Jonathan W Reeves
Jonathan Reeves, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of complex posttraumatic stress disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, chronic emotion dysregulation, and suicidal and self-harming behaviors. Dr. Reeves believes in evidence-based, multidimensional, and patient-centered approach toward recovery. His main goals are helping patients establish stability, confront and process traumatic experiences safely, and integrate these experiences into a more resilient sense of self while building safe connections with others.
Dr. Reeves' clinical expertise includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, internal family systems, and decolonization-based approaches for treating a variety of trauma and dissociation-based disorders. He is also an acting assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the University of Washington.
Personal Interests
In his free time, Dr. Reeves enjoys weightlifting/running, reading fantasy/sci-fi novels, engaging in literary analysis, and learning how to use drama therapy techniques to build more engaging Dungeons & Dragons campaigns for his loved ones.
