About Jonathan P. Lopez

Jonathan Lopez, M.D., is a board certified neurologist at Seattle Children's Hospital and a UW assistant professor of Neurology.

Dr. Lopez provides comprehensive care to children with epilepsy, seizures and seizure-like episodes. He strives to create active partnerships with his patients and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Lopez earned his M.D. from SUNY Downstate, Brooklyn. He is board certified in both Child Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology. He is a member of the Child Neurology Society and the American Epilepsy Society. His clinical interests include comprehensive care for children with epilepsy and seizures, electroencephalography and epilepsy surgery. His research interests include quality of life in children with epilepsy, outcomes of children with drug-resistant epilepsy, epilepsy surgery and brain tumor-related epilepsy.
