Dr Oakley like always exceeds our expectations with concise and clear best possible solutions to medical challenges by our son. Dr Oakley is one of the best specialists that our son sees on a regular basis.
Absolutely amazing Physician and staff! Extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. Highly recommended!
Dr Oakley and the UW medical center have treated me really well. Each visit has been 45 mins plus, talking about my condition in depth as develop treatment plans together. My seizures are a bit of a mystery, which Dr Oakley is really trying to figure out. Way way better than the neurology clinic I'd been seeing in my home of [...].
Thank you! Dr Oakley Is the gold standard of care providers. So much information presented in a way I understood it all, thorough and presented a clear plan moving forward! Allows and encourages my participation in my healing journey. UW should seriously look at more care teams with this structure. I wish there was a way to give the team all 10 out of 5. Yes, they doubled any expectation I had at EVERY interaction.
Dr. Oakley is one of only two specialists for my condition in the state. UW needs to focus on training more doctors to understand and treat dysautonomia related conditions.
Dr. Oakley is incredibly thorough and I feel so lucky to have access to his expertise.
Dr. Oakley is great. I really appreciate how he is always working to connect the dots for not only treatment, but also the root cause of the problem.
This is one of the appointments I actually look forward to going to because everyone--from front desk, to nurses, to doctors--is always so kind and helpful. I really appreciate the care and consideration every member of the team takes, and I always leave feeling positive about my continued care with any questions I may have had answered.
Dr Oakley is one of the few Drs I trust that has my best interest at heart and that I can talk to openly about my health issues and know he will listen, be empathetic, and help me if there's a way to do so. I've been going to him for a long time I feel heard and optimistic when I leave his office.
Dr. Oakley is lovely, [...]
Dr Oakley is incredibly smart and kind. Who could've guessed, there are good neurologists? I guess so.
Dr is the best!!
Dr.Oakley is amazing. So knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He shares complex information at the right level with options and considerations. Very happy he is my doctor.
Dr Oakley is so full of knowledge, yet he has the ability to break down and share that knowledge in a manner that patients without a medical degree can understand. He thoughtfully listens, asks questions to clarify what is being shared, and will often paraphrase information I might struggle to understand or share.
I appreciate the thoroughness of explanation given by Dr Oakley and his care In Including [...] home care support nurse.
Dr. Oakley is always an excellent listener and explainer. He reviewed the use of droxidopa to better maintain normal blood pressure throughout the day and improve kidney function which can & has been negatively impacted by the chronic hypotension caused by my autonomic system disorder. He noted my lab work for the past 6 months which showed a slight improvement in kidney function likely due to better BP levels since taking droxidopa & is recommending a small increase in dosage. He also referred me for a skin biopsy test to refine my autonomic system diagnosis.
Dr. Oakley is a highly valued neurologist in the U/W medical system. I'm very fortunate to have Dr. Oakley as my neurologist.
Good listener, excellent at analyzing my issues, focused, good eye contact & explained throughly of thoughts & knowledge of issues & questions. TY
Dr. Oakley thoroughly understands my autonomic issues more than any other physician, I think he's extremely valuable to UW and takes his job seriously. He always spends time to explain what he means in layman's terms better than any other doctor, especially in regard to how or why different drugs work, or how different problems are interrelated.
Dr. Oakley is an excellent doctor and researcher. UW must give him all the support he needs to stay in his position and keep teaching and doctoring. We badly need him and more doctors like him.
DR. OAKLEY & NEUROLOGY STAFF ~ EXCELLENT
I have been struggling with my condition and symptoms for [...] months and have been seen by many providers. I have been sent back and forth between different providers, not been taken seriously, been told I should address my symptoms in therapy, and have become so defeated and hopeless in the process. I cried in relief leaving Dr. Oakley's office, after he sat with my mom and I for two hours and listened patiently with compassion and curiosity, offered tangible solutions, and expressed what no other health care provider has emphasized: he believed me. Dr. Oakley is an extraordinarily rare find, particularly in an age where healthcare has become a drive-by, hands off, one-size-fits all approach. The level of kindness, patience, and compassion from this entire office has been outstanding and incredibly difficult to find. They all interact with others with true trauma-informed care. Shout-out to [...] in patient services as well for her quick-scheduling, listening skills, sympathy, and patience. Thank you so much.
Dr. Oakley is excellent. He is always very thorough and puts a lot of thought into his treatment plans.
Dr Oakley is always excellent. Listening thoughtfully, reflecting back what I say to show he has heard me and including me in decision making in a meaningful way. Highly recommend him as a physician.
Dr Oakley always thorough and responsive to my concerns
Dr Oakley is the most outstanding MD at UW!! Brilliant, compassionate, caring, collaborative, professional!
Dr Oakley is a great Dr. He's One of the few that listens to me. I have a complicated set of issues and he try's hard to find ways to make quality of life better when he can.
Dr Oakley sometimes runs late, however I am comfortable with that. I understand that he takes his time with his patients and I know he will also take the time needed with me.
Dr Oakley is both extremely competent and caring. He explains well. He is ready for appointments - reviews patient chart (and even tests/exams from other providers which were sent to him just the day before) before the appointment, so I feel he is knowledgeable and informed about my specific case. I appreciate that I'm more than a number or a chart or a diagnosis - I'm a human being and I'm being well cared for by Dr Oakley.
Dr. Oakley is one of the most outstanding physicians I have ever had. He is in the top 1% of doctors. [...] He is a MAJOR asset for this institution. UW Should do everything it can to retain this outstanding MD!
Dr. Oakley is a fabulous doctor and UW needs to prioritize training additional autonomic neurologists because Dr. Oakley can't treat everyone in need in this region.
Dr Oakley is both highly competent and caring - you can't always have both qualities in a doctor. We trust him.
I am so grateful for Dr. Oakley and his team. This is one of the appointments I actually look forward to going to because everyone I interact with is so kind, supportive, and understanding. I truly cannot say enough great things about Dr. Oakley and his team!
Dr. Oakley is a fantastic doctor. He is very knowledgeable in his specialty. I feel supported in my appointment because he lets me ask questions that are important to me and he is very thorough.
Dr. Oakley is phenomenal. He always gives very thorough, well thought out explanations and is always working to piece together what is going on into the big picture. He gives great, evidence-based care.
Dr. Oakley, like always, goes above and beyond in taking time to answer and explain. [...]
DR Oakley spends most of our time going into great detail and takes a lot of time explaining the nuts and bolts of his answer to my questions. I often interrupt him so to move on to other concerns. I find .him very interesting. He's like a professor teaching a medical student. He's very kind but doesn't hear my concern or desperation behind my questions.
Dr Oakley is great, and always takes the time before appointments to research extremely specific things related to my issues. He clearly takes each visit seriously since my first appointment with him [...]
Dr. Oakley is incredibly informative and educational. I appreciate his detailed and personalized explanations immensely.
Dr Oakley listens well, takes time to understand our concerns, explains issues and options clearly, and comes to consensus with us. He follows through with our local providers.
Dr. Oakley is a fine/awesome medical professional. He is a credit to the U/W Medical Hospital.
Dr. Oakley is excellent. He's incredibly knowledgeable and kind.
Dr Oakley is an excellent doctor. Informed, knowledgeable, competent and on top of that-caring and speaks so I can understand him. Best neurologist I have seen.
Dr Oakley has been my Dr for years and has always been on top of my medical needs.
Excellent doctor, plus one of only 2 in this specialty in the area.
Some time Dr Oakley's explanations have so much information that I cannot comprehend it all.
Dr. Oakley is excellent, consultative, compassionate, and in high demand among people in the Dysautonomia community.
We think Dr Oakley is genius!
