Joelle Lucas, M.D. is an obstetrician gynecologist with specialization in laparoscopic, robotic-assisted and vaginal gynecologic surgery. She is a UW clinical assistant professor at the University of Washington and a staff gynecologist at VA Puget Sound.
Dr. Lucas earned bachelor’s degrees from the University of Washington in business and French and then returned to the University of Washington for her M.D. degree and OB/GYN residency training.
Dr. Lucas' clinical interests include treatment of benign and premalignant gynecologic conditions (abnormal pap smears, abnormal bleeding, prolapse) with laparoscopic, robotic-assisted, and vaginal surgery; teaching residents and medical students; and surgical simulation. She is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Seattle Gynecologic Society.
Dr. Lucas especially enjoys getting to know a patient and discussing the pros and cons of each treatment option so that she can choose what is right for her.
Dr. Lucas enjoys spending time with family and friends and enjoying the beautiful outdoors of the Pacific Northwest, particularly hiking and backpacking.
