Jo Ann Jackson, M.D. is a UW lecturer and faculty in the Department of Family Medicine, who joined the University of Washington in 2003. She completed medical school at the College of Human Medicine, Michigan State, residency in Family Medicine at the University of California, San Diego and gained a Master of Science in medical genetics from the University of Michigan.
Dr. Jackson's clinical interests include sports medicine, men's and women's healthcare, and pediatrics.
She has served as a team physician for college football, track and field, volleyball, gymnastics, skiing, hockey and baseball for more than 16 years. She encourages preventative medicine and individualized care by providing individualized, comprehensive care for every patient, with an emphasis on prevention, nutrition, well-being and active interventions to reduce illness and chronic medical conditions.
Dr. Jackson enjoys family, gardening, writing, dance and skiing.
