About Jing H. Chao
Jing Chao, M.D., is a board certified physician at the Endocrine and Diabetes Care Center at UWMC-Roosevelt, Director of the UWMC-Montlake Inpatient Glycemic Team, and a UW Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition
Dr. Chao manages the most challenging hospitalized patients with hyperglycemia to optimize their clinical outcomes. She enjoys working with patients both in the hospital and in the outpatient setting. She listens to her patients and actively engages them in the process of medical decision making.
Dr. Chao received her M.D. from the University of Cincinnati College. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology/Diabetes/Metabolism. Her clinical research focuses on investigating the relationship between testosterone deficiency and insulin sensitivity. Her clinical interests include osteoporosis and hormonal disorders related to the thyroid and pituitary glands, and she continues to manage a variety of endocrine-related disorders in clinic.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Dr. Chao enjoys baking and cooking, as well as traveling to see different parts of the world.
