About Jim Boonyaratanakornkit
Jim Boonyaratanakornkit, MD, PhD cares for cancer patients coping with infections. His patient care philosophy is to provide cutting-edge advances in medicine to diagnose, prevent, and treat infections. He also acknowledges that cancer care can be complex, and he values clear communication between providers and patients. Jim has been a practicing physician since 2011.
As an acting instructor at UW, he specializes in infections in patients with cancer or who have received a stem cell transplant. As a research associate at the Fred Hutch, his research is aimed at understanding the immune system after transplant and at reducing the burden of respiratory viruses throughout the world.
