About Jeffrey D Jacobs
Dr. Jeffrey Jacobs is a board-certified gastroenterologist and Clinical Assistant Professor at the Digestive Health Center at the University of Washington. He specializes in the care of patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease and directs UW's Intestinal Ultrasound (IUS) program, offering a non-invasive tool for monitoring inflammation and improving patient outcomes.
Dr. Jacobs is committed to a patient-centered approach, combining personalized care with the latest advancements in IBD treatment. His clinical and research interests focus on optimizing medication use in IBD and advancing the adoption of intestinal ultrasound through education and training initiatives.
Dr. Jacobs earned his medical degree from the Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He remains dedicated to improving the lives of patients with IBD through innovation, education, and compassionate care.
Personal Interests
Dr. Jacobs enjoys playing with his dog at the park, trying out new cooking and baking recipes with his wife, traveling, reading books about history, and watching football (Go Hawks!).
