About Jeffrey D. Edelman
Jeffrey D. Edelman, M.D., is a UW associate professor of Medicine. His primary educational focus is in the Lung Transplant Service with the goal of training fellows, other health-care professionals and students in the care and evaluation of patients with advanced lung disease before and after transplantation.
Dr. Edelman's primary goal is to maintain ongoing close assessment and follow-up with patients in order to achieve the best short- and long-term quality of life, function and outcomes associated with lung transplantation and other therapies for advanced lung disease.
His clinical interests include lung transplantation, pulmonary vascular disease and advanced lung disease due to interstitial lung disease, cystic fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. His main focus is in the clinical care of patients with these conditions, as well as clinical research aimed at advancing treatment and understanding in these areas.
Personal Interests
Dr. Edelman enjoys raising and entertaining two kids, running and sailing.
