Dr. Jason Hauptman, M.D., Ph.D., is a physician at Seattle Children's Hospital and a UW assistant professor of Neurological Surgery.
As a pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr. Hauptman’s patient care philosophy is simple: treat families as if they were his own family. He has found that despite years of groundbreaking discovery and exciting medical advancements, being a physician is very much still about people helping people when they need it the most. This is his greatest reward and his greatest responsibility.
Dr. Hauptman earned his M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now called Rutgers Medical School) and his Ph.D. from UCLA. His clinical interests include brain tumors, epilepsy, vascular disorders, hydrocephalus, congenital brain and spine malformations. Research interests include pediatric epilepsy surgery and pediatric brain tumors.
In his free time Dr. Hauptman enjoys spending time with family, listening to music, cooking and spending time outdoors.
