Jason Dominitz, M.D., is a board certified gastroenterologist, national director of Gastroenterology for the Veterans Health Administration, acting chief of Gastroenterology for the VA Puget Sound and a UW professor of Gastroenterology and Medicine.

Dr. Dominitz feels his role is to diagnose the cause of his patients’ symptoms, then offer and deliver the best available treatments to help improve their quality of life. He values taking time to explain diagnosis and treatment options.

Dr. Dominitz earned his M.D. from the University of Maryland. He has published more than 80 peer-reviewed publications and dozens of guidelines on the clinical practice of Gastroenterology. He is former chair of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy’s Standards of Practice Committee, a member of the U.S. Multi-Society Task Force on Colorectal Cancer and senior associate editor of the American Journal of Gastroenterology.

Personal Interests

In his free time Dr. Dominitz enjoys traveling, boating, camping, skiing and spending time with his wife and four children.
