Jasmine Zia, M.D., is a board certified gastroenterologist at UW Medical Center, Harborview and the Eastside Specialty Clinic and a UW assistant professor of Gastroenterology and Medicine.

Dr. Zia is a specialist in gastrointestinal motility and functional disorders. She works together with her patients to develop an individualized care plan with the goal of reducing symptoms most affecting their quality of life while respecting their core values.

Dr. Zia earned her M.D. at Stanford. She is board certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. Her research interests focuses on the development and testing of novel smartphone applications for symptom tracking and management in patients with irritable bowel syndrome.  Her work aims to improve patient-centered outcomes such as reduction of bowel symptoms and improved quality of life.

Personal Interests

In her free time Dr. Zia enjoys literature, traveling, hiking, running, skiing, yoga and mindfulness.
