About Janine R. Maenza
Janine Maenza, M.D., is a board certified physician at the Infectious Disease and Travel Clinic and AIDS Clinical Trials Unit at Harborview and a UW Associate Professor of Medicine and Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Dr. Maenza works as a clinical researcher at the UW Primary Infection Clinic and the UW/FHCRC HIV Vaccine Trials Unit. Her work involves seeing research study participants with early HIV infection and volunteers who enroll in clinical trials of preventative HIV vaccines. She believes satient care should focus on patient education and the participation of the patient in informed decision-making.
Dr. Maenza earned her M.D. at Columbia. Her clinical and research interests include HIV primary care and HIV therapeutic clinical trials.
