Dr. Woo is a UW acting instructor at the School of Medicine and medical oncologist who specializes in treating patients with myelodysplastic syndrome, myeloproliferative neoplasms and aplastic anemia. He is additionally a research associate at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Dr. Woo received his medical degree from Seoul National University in 2004 followed by a PhD from Harvard University in 2011.

Clinical interests include Myelodysplastic syndromes, myeloproliferative neoplasms, bone marrow failures, and aplastic anemia.

Dr. Woo actively participates in newer clinical trials with targeted agents for patients with MDS and myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). His ultimate goal is to translate biological understanding into patient care and develop therapeutic platforms by targeting individual mutations commonly found in MDS and MPN.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Dr. Woo can be found exploring the outdoors in Washington state with his family.
