Janette Powell, P.T., M.H.Sc., O.C.S., S.C.S., is a board certified physical therapist and supervisor of the UW Medical Center Exercise Training Center at UWMC-Roosevelt.
Powell strives to create active partnerships with her patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Powell received her medical education at the University of Sydney, Australia. She is board certified in both Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy. She has worked as a physical therapist in multiple countries and with Cirque du Soleil, has co-authored five peer-review publications and has authored four book chapters. Her clinical and research interests include injuries to the upper quarter (in particular the shoulder region), acrobatic and sports injuries and in helping individuals return to or begin a healthy, active lifestyle.
When not in clinic, you can find Janette outdoors on some adventure - likely involving travel, water, mountains, snow and/or photography!
