Jamie Shandro, M.D., M.P.H., is a board certified physician in the Emergency Departments at Harborview and UW Medical Center. She is also a UW associate professor of Emergency Medicine and has been named a "Top Doctor" by Seattle Met magazine.

As an emergency physician, Dr. Shandro enjoys taking care of the wide variety of patients who come through the Emergency Department. She likes to be a source of comfort for patients and families as they face both minor and major emergencies.

Dr. Shandro earned her M.D. from the UW School of Medicine and her M.P.H. from Harvard University. Dr. Shandro focuses on medical education and co-directs the UW’s medical student clerkship in Emergency Medicine. In addition to her focus on medical education, she conducts research on medical teamwork and communication and on injury prevention efforts. Dr. Shandro is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Personal Interests

In her free time Dr. Shandro enjoys traveling, running, cooking and time with family.
