James Park, M.D., is a board certified surgeon at UW Medical Center and SCCA, director of the UW Liver Tumor Clinic, chair of the Robotic Steering Committee, clinical director of Surgical Specialties for the WWAMI Institute of Simulation in Healthcare, a core member of the SCCA Pancreas Cancer Specialty Clinic and a UW Associate Professor of Surgery.
Dr. Park specializes in the complex surgical care of diseases of the liver, gall bladder, bile duct, pancreas and upper gastrointestinal tract. He believes there is no greater example of trust than a patient entrusting their life to the hands of a surgeon. Therefore, he treats, and teaches his trainees to treat, each patient as if they were family.
Dr. Park earned his M.D. at the University of Pennsylvania. His research involves cutting-edge nanotechnology to improve diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer.
Dr. Park enjoys spending time with his family and German Shepherd, listening to music and exploring the outdoors.
