James Fine, M.D., is a board certified pathologist at UW Medical Center. He is also the UW’s Paul E. Strandjord & Kathleen J. Clayson Endowed Chair of Laboratory Medicine and an adjunct professor of Biomedical Informatics and Medical Education.

Dr. Fine strives to provide the most up to date and highest quality clinical laboratory service for patients served by UW Medicine as well as the citizens of our region and provide specialty reference laboratory testing across the nation and world.

 Dr. Fine earned his M.D. from the University of Minnesota.

Personal Interests

In his free time Dr. Fine enjoys bicycling, swimming, painting, photography and reading.
