J. K. Sherwood M.D. Accepting new patients

Accepting new patients Make an Appointment

Family medicine-OB, Travel medicine

From a young age growing up in beautiful Port Townsend, Washington, I developed an appreciation for music and the outdoors, and have continued in residency in the invigorating environment of Seattle. Following college, I spent one year at UW as an intern in athletic training and then three years studying human genome sequence variation.

After a year of travel and volunteer work, I moved to New Hampshire to attend Dartmouth Medical School. I appreciated the diverse group of patients and providers with whom I worked, and the school's focus on evidence-based, patient-centered care. I look forward to continuing that focus during residency as I prepare for a career in full-spectrum family medicine.

I also look forward to continuing my involvement with the global health organization Village Health Works (www.villagehealthworks.org) and building skills for patient care in resource-poor settings.
