Iris De Castro, M.D., is a UW Medicine physician and a UW assistant professor of Nephrology.

Dr. De Castro strives to create active partnerships with her patients and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Castro’s clinical interests include reproductive health in transplant nephrology, kidney disease in solid organ transplant recipients and multi-organ transplantation policies and ethical issues Her research interests include intrapartum clinical course of nephrotic syndrome, indications and outcomes of multi-organ transplantation and novel pharmacologic management of ischemia reperfusion injury.
