Herbert Duber, M.D., M.P.H., is a board certified physician in the Emergency Departments at Harborview and UW Medical Center, a UW assistant professor of Emergency Medicine, adjunct assistant professor of Global Health and a faculty member at the UW’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation.

Dr. Duber feels that one of the great aspects of emergency medicine is the opportunity to work with patients from all walks of life. He feels it is important to be empathetic towards patients, inclusive of their family and partners and provide explanations that are clear and concise.

Dr. Duber earned his M.P.H. from Harvard and his M.D. from New York University. He is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is actively involved in impact evaluations research focused in low- and middle-income countries.

Personal Interests

In his free time Dr. Duber enjoys skiing, squash, camping, hiking and spending time with family.
