About Grant C. Hughes
Grant Hughes, M.D., is a board certified physician, head of Rheumatology at Harborview and director of the UW Rheumatology Training Program. He is the UW’s Robert F. Wilkins, M.D. & Lucile T. Henderson Endowed Professor in Rheumatology and Medicine.
Dr. Hughes feels his chief responsibility is to individual patients. He believes his job is to ensure each patient receives the best possible medical care regardless of circumstances. At the Harborview Rheumatology Clinic, his team of highly trained, dedicated and compassionate doctors, nurses, medical assistants, pharmacists and administrators provides the best possible care.
Dr. Hughes earned his M.D. at Oregon Health & Science University. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the American College of Rheumatology. He twice received the UW Medicine PRAISE Award for patient satisfaction.
Personal Interests
In his free time Dr. Hughes enjoys literature, music, creative writing, soccer and natural history.
