BiographyGirl Shivaram, M.D., is a board certified interventional radiologist at UW Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital and a UW assistant professor of Radiology.
Dr. Shivaram specializes in minimally invasive treatments for both pediatric and adult patients. He believes in helping patients to be in charge of their care. He sees the healing process as a partnership and believes that patients deserve simple, clear, easy to understand explanations of their conditions and treatment options available to them.
Dr. Shivaram earned his M.D. from Stanford, where he was awarded a Howard Hughes Medical Institute research fellowship. His clinical and research interests include minimally invasive, image-guided treatments for vascular malformations, arterial and venous disorders, solid organ tumors, and a variety of other conditions.
Personal InterestsOutside of the hospital, Dr. Shivaram enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with his wife Sapna and little girl Kavya.
