Gina M. Peterson, DPT, OMT, EP-C, is a certified manual physical therapist at UW Medicine's Advanced Manual Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation at Outpatient Medical Center. Dr. Peterson, a doctor of physical therapy, earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science from Seattle Pacific University, and her DPT from the UW School of Medicine. She completed residency training in orthopedic manual therapy through the Ola Grimsby Institute, and is an OMT Fellowship candidate with anticipated completion in 2020.
Dr. Peterson enjoys helping patients cultivate optimal physical function and wellness for all aspects of life: work, recreation,
competition, and activities of daily living. Dr. Peterson has also been an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist since 2010. Prior to completing her PT education, Dr. Peterson worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, teaching classes on dance, circus arts, and kickboxing. In addition, she has done volunteer medical coverage with Rat City Roller Derby, and currently teaches exercise physiology skills to the UW Recreational Sports Department staff.
In her free time, Dr. Peterson enjoys dancing, object manipulation (circus arts), martial arts, crafting, and being a dedicated corgi mom.
