Giana Davidson, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.S., is associate medical director and medical director for Post-Acute Care at UW Medicine. She is also an emergency general surgeon in the Department of Surgery and a researcher at the Surgical Outcomes Research Center.
Dr. Davidson believes it is a privilege to practice medicine at the UW and care for the diverse range of patients who travel here. Her goal is to develop a relationship with every patient that is built on trust and respect.
Dr. Davidson's clinical expertise is in emergency general surgical care, surgical management of gastrointestinal disorders including inflammatory bowel disease, shared decision making in end-of-life care and other specialties.
Dr. Davidson is a NIH funded investigator whose multi-disciplinary collaborative research focuses on improving the health of patients during the post-acute care period.
Dr. Davidson enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking and spending time with her husband and young children.
