About Geoffrey S. Baird
Geoffrey Baird, MD, PhD, is a board-certified pathologist at UW Medicine, professor and chair of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, and the Paul E. Strandjord and Kathleen J. Clayson Endowed Chair. He is a member of the Clinical Chemistry Division, with clinical responsibilities at Harborview Medical Center.
Dr. Baird’s goal is to provide the highest quality clinical laboratory services to patients in the University of Washington community and Pacific Northwest region. Dr. Baird earned his MD and PhD from UC San Diego. He is board-certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology and Clinical Chemistry. His clinical and research interests include clinical laboratory test stewardship, proteomics, tissue analysis, general laboratory medicine, toxicology, and health care policy.
Personal Interests
In his free time Dr. Baird enjoys spending time with his family and cats, running, and playing poker.
