Flavia Consens, M.D., is a board certified physician at the Sleep Medicine Center at Harborview and a UW associate professor of Neurology and an adjunct associate professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.

Dr. Consens strives to create active partnerships with her patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Consens earned her M.D. from the University of the Republic of Uruguay. She is board certified in both Sleep Medicine and Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She conducts research in screening for sleep disorders and how the treatment of those disorders can improve outcomes. Her clinical research interests include evaluating how sleep affects multiple aspects of a person's life, how to better screen and diagnose sleep problems, how sleep disorders treatment improves outcomes, especially on those with other coexisting medical problems and education of sleep medicine.

Personal Interests

In addition to caring for her patients, Dr. Consens enjoys the arts and spending time with her family.
