Fatemeh Behnia, M.D., is a board certified radiologist at UW Medical Center and a UW assistant professor of Nuclear Medicine and Radiology. 

Dr. Behnia enjoys her job as a radiologist and nuclear medicine physician. Helping with diagnosis, follow-up and management of oncology patients is very fulfilling and rewarding. She believes the therapeutic aspect of nuclear medicine, especially with novel treatment options that have become available to cancer patients, is particularly exciting.

Dr. Behnia earned her M.D. at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. She is board certified by both the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. Her clinical areas of interest include general nuclear medicine and oncology imaging. She has a passion for teaching medical students and has earned three UW teaching awards.

Personal Interests

In her free time Dr. Behnia enjoys dancing, hiking, cooking and reading.
