Evan Clemens, PharmD, is a clinical pharmacist specializing in medication therapy management of organ transplant recipients and organ donors.
He is part of the multi-disciplinary team necessary for a successful transplant. After kidney or liver transplant, his patients need to take anti-rejection drugs for the rest of their life. Dr. Clemens acts as an expert resource to the medical team to guide the safe and effective use of drugs in these complex patients. He also helps educate patients about their new medication regimen, and promotes adherence to prescribed treatments.
Dr. Clemens values attention to detail and clarity. He facilitates communication and understanding between transplant surgery team members and patients. His interests include immunosuppression protocols, medications safety, and clinical informatics.
He also precepts student pharmacists and pharmacy residents, and lectures at the UW School of Pharmacy.
Dr. Clemens enjoys trail running, cooking, and travel in his spare time.
