About Erek W. Latzka
Erek Latzka, MD, is a physician at the Sports Medicine Centers at Husky Stadium and at Harborview and a UW assistant professor of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Dr. Latzka specializes in treating patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries, with a non-operative, patient-centered approach that focuses on maximizing function and quality of life. He has provided medical care for UW athletics, Seattle University Athletics, the Seattle Reign, the Seattle Storm, the Seattle Marathon, the Seattle Slam Quad Rugby Club, and many wheelchair basketball tournaments hosted by Seattle Adaptive Sports. As a former varsity track & field athlete at UNC-Chapel Hill, Dr. Latzka brings a unique perspective to the clinic.
Dr. Latzka earned his M.D. at Tufts University in Boston. His clinical interests include sports and musculoskeletal medicine, diagnostic ultrasound, minimally invasive ultrasound-guided treatments, regenerative medicine and adaptive sports medicine.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Dr. Latzka enjoys spending time with his wife, Jessica, his son, Leor, and his two dogs. He enjoys exploring the NW, tasting Seattle’s wonderful food, beer, and coffee, and staying active with a combination of hot yoga, racquetball, snowboarding and weightlifting.
