About Emily S. Ford
Emily Ford M.D. is an infectious disease physician specializing in the care of individuals with a compromised immune system. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She is an attending physician at the University of Washington Virology Clinic where she is a primary care provider for persons living with HIV and those interested in HIV prevention (PrEP). At the UW Virology Clinic Dr. Ford works with a team of individuals including Social Work Pharmacy and Nursing to ensure that her patients have comprehensive and patient-centered primary care.
Dr. Ford received her M.D from New York University and was trained in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington. She is a researcher at the Fred Hutch investigating the tissue-based immune system and the response of tissue-based T and B cells to HSV-2.

Dr. Ford has two children, and in her free time enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her family.
