She recently spent a sabbatical year in New Zealand practicing hospital medicine in a rural hospital. In her free time Dr. Plotkin enjoys boating, hiking, bicycling, kayaking, skiing, snorkeling and world travel. During her recent sabbatical, she sailed across the Pacific Ocean in a 32-foot sailboat and worked in New Zealand for a year.
