Dr. Elizabeth Flanigan is a hospitalist at the University of Washington Medical Center. She earned her bachelor's degree from Ripon College in Ripon, WI. She obtained a Masters degree in Public Health from Tulane University and her MD at Uniformed Services University. She completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at the National Capital Consortium (Walter Reed Army Medical Center and National Naval Medical Center - Bethesda) in Washington DC as well as her fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. During this time she completed a post-doctoral fellowship at NICHD in epidemiology.

Dr. Flanigan served as an Attending Neonatologist at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA for eight years ultimately serving as Medical Director of the NICU for 3 years and then Medical Director of Newborn Medicine Services for 2 years. Upon leaving the Army, she worked as an Attending Neonatologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and served as Division Chief of Neonatology at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston.
