Elihu Estey, M.D., is a board certified oncologist and researcher at SCCA and a UW professor of Hematology and Medicine.
Dr. Estey sees have relatively unfavorable prognoses. He believes these patients need to be informed, so they can decide whether to enter into a clinical trial testing a new therapy.
Dr. Estey earned his M.D. at Johns Hopkins. He is an expert in treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). He serves as an advisor to the Food and Drug Administration regarding new drugs in AML. Dr. Estey is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology. He is a member of the American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Cancer Research.
During his off hours, Dr. Estey is a huge sports fan. His favorite teams are the Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints and, of course, the Seattle Seahawks.
