Edgar Figueredo, M.D., is a UW associate professor of Surgery.
Dr. Figueredo hopes to help veterans with the latest minimally invasive surgery procedures and to deliver the highest standards of care for critical care patients. He finds helping with the formation of medical students, residents and fellows very rewarding.
Dr. Figueredo was trained in minimally invasive surgery at UW, with a focus in esophageal and bariatric surgery. He has a special interest in performing minimally invasive surgery techniques for inguinal and incisional hernias and intestinal pathologies.
Dr. Figueredo enjoys reading, from classical to fiction. He plays the guitar and listens to music, from opera and bel canto to salsa and rock. In his free time he plays squash and soccer and practices for his next triathlon.
