Douglas S. Hawkins, M.D., is a board certified pediatric hematology oncologist, UW Medicine’s associate chief of Hematology Ongology and associate director of Seattle Childrens’ Center for Clinical and Translational Research. He is also the UW’s John R. Hartmann Endowed Chair of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology.
Dr. Hawkins believes that each day brings new opportunities to learn from colleagues, patients and families. His hope is that the clinical research he and his team does today will lead to more effective treatments with fewer side effects for children and young adults in the future.
Dr. Hawkins earned his M.D. from Harvard. He is an active researcher and holds national and international leadership roles in pediatric hematology oncology research.
