About Douglas P. Hanel
Douglas P. Hanel, M.D. is a UW professor of orthopaedics and sports medicine. He is recognized as a leading expert in surgery for hand, wrist and elbow disorders, from birth defects to trauma. He is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and hand surgery and works with both children and adults.
Dr. Hanel's clinical interests include
hand and wrist problems including congenital hand problems; carpal tunnel syndrome and cubital tunnel syndrome; arthritis involving hands, wrists and elbows; fractures and dislocations of hands and forearms; artery and tendon problems; and complications resulting from earlier treatments.
