About Douglas S. Franzen
Douglas Franzen, M.D., M.Ed., is a board certified physician in the Emergency Department at Harborview Medical Center, associate residency director of the UW’s Emergency Medicine Residency Program and a UW assistant professor of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Franzen is most excited by the diagnosis of a new problem. He also enjoys educating medical students and residents.
Dr. Franzen earned his M.D. at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Franzen's research interests are in education at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Personal Interests
In his free time Dr. Franzen enjoys listening to and playing music.
