Biography

Deepa Rao, Ph.D., is a psychologist at the Madison Clinic at Harborview and a UW associate professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Global Health.

Dr. Rao helps patients worldwide improve their mental health and reduce their stigmas by designing and implementing effective interventions. She enjoys working with patients to help them strengthen their support networks and reduce their symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Dr. Rao earned her Ph.D. at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Personal Interests

In her spare time, Dr. Rao enjoys practicing mindfulness practice and hiking.
