About Deborah L. Marquardt
Deborah Marquardt, M.D., is a board certified surgeon at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System and a UW assistant professor of General Surgery.
Dr. Marquardt believes that the privilege of serving others through the practice of surgery is an amazing thing. She feels particularly honored to be able to do this work on behalf of her fellow veterans.
Dr. Marquardt earned her M.D. from Loma Linda University. She is board certified in both Surgical Critical Care and General Surgery. She practiced as an attending general surgeon in the United States Navy for four years. Her clinical interests include gastrointestinal and endocrine surgery, minimally invasive/laparoscopic surgery, clinical nutrition and systems improvement in general surgery and critical care. Her main academic interests are medical student/resident education and clinical nutrition in surgical patients.
Personal Interests
In her free time Dr. Marquardt enjoys hiking, cycling, music and spending time with family.
