Deborah Blue, C.N.M., M.S.N., is a board certified nurse midwife at Northwest Hospital Midwives Clinic and a UW teaching associate of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Blue specializes in women’s health care, including contraception, preventative screenings, healthy pregnancy and birth. She values the role of supporting women to understand their health, know their own bodies and feel empowered to navigate the changes and choices that come over the course of the reproductive years. She strives to provide the most up to date, evidenced based care and consider it a privilege to care for women and their families during this time.
Blue received her medical education at Seattle University. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. Her clinical and research interests include women’s health, healthy pregnancy and physiologic birth, breastfeeding and reproductive choices.
When not working, Blue can be found hiking the Seattle Parks to keep her Australian Shepherd happy, trying to parent her five kids and carving out time to savor the simple joys of food and family.
